Davis Is Going To China...Again!!!

38 Days in China...
What a change in Davis!!!
Davis has been doing very well since our return from China. He continues to get stronger in his neck and trunk area. He continues to want to sit by himself, lasting 10-20 seconds. The sitting has less head bobbling and more midline action (in the middle). Davis is up to eating three meals a day (still pureed, but thicker) daily. He is drinking liquids from a sippy cup with no stopper. It is still messy, but it seems to be more controled (the swallows) and less messy than it was. His therapist at home see a big change in him. Especially his awareness of what is going on around him. He will directly look and hold that look for 10 seconds or so. He never did that before. It was always a glance in the passing of his head going back and forth. His seizures are lowering in duration. Some days it goes back up, but they told us this was normal because of the extra stimulus coming into his brain to cause those seizures. He vocalizes more and more. He does not say words, but has definite sounds for what he wants. He laughs a lot which just warms my heart to know he is happy. It has been unbelievable!!!
WE ARE TRYING FOR A NEXT TRIP TO CHINA
Because of the miracle we have seen so far in Davis, and the miracles still to come (we still have 2 months left of the stem cells "finding their way") and the miracles we witnessed on the floor while we were in China, we are starting to raise money again for another visit. Yes, the law is starting to change here in the US, thank goodness, but it will be years before it is available for children like Davis.
We want to thank everyone again for all the wonderful support you have given our family and little Davis. We are very fortunate to know each of you, and just know you have done a wonderful thing in helping Davis gain back a portion of independence.
